How the Asian Society of Head and Neck Oncology and Prof. Prof. Dr I.B Tan used the Crescent Vision live for their Dissection Course in Khon Kaen, Thailand

As one of the instructors of the Asian Head and Neck Dissection Course in Khon Kaen, Thailand, Prof. Dr I.B Tan, an emeritus professor at Maastricht University Medical Center, joined this event in November 2022 and introduced the Crescent Vision Live.

The Khon Kaen Stream

On one of his recent trips to Thailand, Prof. Dr I.B Tan took with him a Crescent Vision Live to stream a dissection course he performed in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

During this course, the Crescent Vision Live was used as a tool to stream the perspective of the surgeon locally, to screens in the training facility. This was done to provide a clearer view of the procedure to the participants in the room.

He praised the device's ability to clearly show the perspective of the surgeon and give a good view of the procedure. The Crescent Vision Live effectively increases the visibility of complex procedures by showing the residents and fellows exactly what the surgeon or supervisor sees and does and provides a unique angle with increased visibility. He also mentioned the potential of the camera as a tool for communication between the OR and external rooms in the future, and expressed interest in using the device to stream surgical procedures to multiple head and neck training centers at the same time as part of educational sessions.

Crescent Med is excited to keep working together with Prof. Dr I.B Tan and explore different ways in which the Crescent Vision Live can be used in ENT training.
